Established 2010

Balangara Films specialises in developing intelligent social impact media. We implement communications engagement strategies to meet the needs and expectations of diverse audiences.

We are a small business, however our work features collaborations and partnerships with over 40 small and large organisations.

Balangara produces documentaries, television and cinema commercials, educational films, issue campaign films, social media advocacy resource projects, online video memes, socially conscious product launches, live events, and public art installations.

We have helped people think, feel and act differently towards issues that include: Indigenous, Health & Well-being, Education, Environment, Tourism, Animal Rights, as well as Human Rights, Social & Political Justice and Law Reform.

Through this work we've secured sales, memberships, and donations for organisations around Australia; We have added thousands of signatures for submissions and petitions to protect the things we are passionate about and determined to see changed.

Some of this media has opened film festivals in Frankfurt, Melbourne, Sarajevo, and Birmingham, and appeared in articles for 'The Guardian', 'Australian Geographic', 'ABC Australia', 'The Australian', 'Medium', ‘Texas Screen Scene’, ‘Indie Cinema Magazine’, and 'Wall Street Journal' to name a few.

Vision
With our passion for the natural world, we aim to showcase humanity’s vital connection with the planet and each other to inspire others to reassess the status quo consciousness.

Balangara Films was initially founded in 2010 by Mark Pearce and Nick Hayward as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). In 2023, the branding and name-sake transitioned to a partnership between Mark Pearce and Louisa Dent Pearce.
