That’s My Story

Is this right for ME?

Our program suits a wide range of people; you don’t need any film-making experience – all you need is your story and a willingness to learn and create.

Perhaps...

– You have a personal story that “needs to be told.”

– You want to help raise awareness about a particular experience (e.g. surviving an illness, getting through a challenge, something disrupted your life?)

– You want to gift your story to family or future generations.

– You want to explore your own story as a means of self-healing and transformation.

Your story is a unique expression of YOU

‘That’s My Story’ is a creative arts program which provides the opportunity to tell your story on film. The unique creative process of film-making allows you to build courage, motivation and balance, and to transform your personal challenges into gifts of wisdom that can be shared with others.

YOU are the expert of your own life

Using the universal principles of story-telling, you will be guided to craft your story as a unique work of art that reflects how you feel about yourself and the world.

You are the expert of your own life and your interpretations are the ones that matter. You will discover your meaning of personal, interpersonal and social issues in our life, and YOU get to decide how the story ends.

This process is a deeply rewarding and empowering journey.

Sharing your story with OTHERS

Your story can have a profound impact on your loved ones, friends, people in your community and even strangers on the other side of the world! When your story is written, filmed, edited, and finalised with sound design and music, you will have the opportunity to share your story on screen, as a way to raise awareness, advocate on certain issues, or simply inspire others to live their lives to the full.
